Yorkshire Playhouse presents Sondheim’s classic musical, well-known fairy tale characters collide, but for Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and Red Riding Hood, together with a childless baker and his wife, ‘Happily Ever After’ turns out to be far from the end of the story.

Sondheim’s revered wit and intelligence unite Opera North and West Yorkshire Playhouse in their first major collaboration. Featuring the Chorus of Opera North and directed by the Playhouse’s Artistic Director James Brining, and with Colin Richmond as designer,  prepare for a performance that is far more than ‘Once upon a time’.
